When poker fans noticed that the DoylesRoom client could no longer be downloaded from the website, they began to fear the worst. It seems as if things did not bode well for the Texas Dolly’s Room. Thankfully, though, DoylesRoom clarified the misunderstanding by giving a press release explaining that they would be leaving the Cake Poker Network in order to join the Yatahay Poker Network, a move which promises greener pastures for the players of DoylesRoom.
The Implications of Such a Move
Those who are not familiar with the Yatahay Poker Network might recognize the names of its flagship sites, BetCRIS and True Poker. Now, DoylesRoom will be joining their ranks as a full-fledged member of the said network. This is DoylesRoom’s second migration to date; the first one being its move from Microgaming to the Cake Poker Network. Apparently, Yatahay can offer DoylesRoom some breathing spce that will allow them better customization on their site. This means better, more unique promotions and gimmicks. They’re also planning to up the ante when it comes to new software features and to improve on their customer service. DoylesRoom, according to its spokesperson, has big plans for the future – and the Yatahay Poker Network can apparently accommodate these plans better than Cake Poker can.
What this Means for Players
If you’re wondering when exactly this move will take place, don’t. It’s much too late for that. DoylesRoom has already migrated to the new network, the contracts signed and done with. Indeed, all the player accounts have already been transferred to Yatahay. All players need to do know is to update their software and they’re all set. This move really bodes well for players especially since Cake Poker hasn’t been doing too great lately due to the departure of PlayersOnly and Sportsbook. The Yatahay Network is no doubt bigger than Cake Poker and it’s going to be a lot more interesting for the players of DoylesRoom with the bigger fields. Also, the promise of a ‘tailored poker experience’ is just too good to pass up.
Essentially, DoylesRoom won’t be losing anything. It’s going to keep on improving, especially now that it has more freedom to move in its new home. Doyle Brunson apparently cannot be more excited about the move. He says that he’s pretty excited with what’s ahead. Hopefully, DoylesRoom will be able to deliver on all its promises, and we’ll really end up with a spiffier place to play our favorite game.
